The team, having retained the majority of last season’s Elite 8 members, now boasts some noteworthy new talents. Although her stay will be limited to a single season, her impact is expected to be profound.

Wisconsin Badger Women’s Volleyball Schedule 2023

Embracing challenges, the Badger Women’s Volleyball team takes on a demanding schedule under the astute guidance of Coach Kelly Sheffield. With 31 total matches on the horizon, a staggering 13 of them will pit them against top 25 ranked opponents as the season commences.

Among their non-conference ranked adversaries, the Badgers are set to face Baylor (15), Marquette (13), Florida (12), and Arkansas (25) twice, in a back-to-back series that adds an extra layer of difficulty. A particularly thrilling non-conference encounter awaits them against in-state rival Marquette, set to take place at the prestigious Fiserv Forum. This venue’s capacity is poised to host the maximum number of spectators, potentially shattering the regular season attendance record previously held by the Wisconsin vs. Florida matchup from the last season.

Within the Big Ten conference, the Badgers stand tall as the highest-ranked team, holding the fifth position overall. They face stiff competition from other Big Ten powerhouses such as Ohio State (8), Nebraska (9), Minnesota (10), Penn State (11), and Purdue (20). The intensity escalates during conference play, with Wisconsin taking on Ohio State, Nebraska, and Purdue twice this season, a feat few other teams across the nation can rival.

The forthcoming season promises a thrilling display of skill and determination as the Wisconsin Badger Women’s Volleyball team embraces the perplexing challenges and burstiness of the sport, leaving fans and competitors alike in awe of their prowess.
