Within his tweet, Alexis conveyed his deep appreciation, underscoring that their household now overflows with love and contentment, blessed with a healthy newborn daughter and a thriving mother. He affectionately bestowed upon Serena the title of “GMOAT,” an acronym representing the “Greatest Mother of All Time.” With pride, he also unveiled poignant snapshots of Serena, radiating with happiness as she cradled their newborn alongside their 5-year-old daughter, Olympia.

Alexis Ohanian also took a moment to acknowledge and thank the exceptional medical staff who cared for his wife and their new addition. He recounted the unforgettable experience of introducing their older daughter Olympia to her baby sister for the first time.

His message came to a close with a verse from the Book of Isaiah, drawing a parallel between Serena’s well-being and the serene flow of a river and the rhythmic waves of the sea.

Serena Williams had previously announced her intention to retire from professional tennis and focus on expanding her family, which she highlighted in a Vogue essay last August. In the essay, she mentioned that although she didn’t favor the term “retirement,” she saw her path as one of evolution, prioritizing her family over her tennis career.

The tennis champion also shared her health struggles following the birth of her daughter Olympia in 2017. In an essay for Elle, Serena detailed the challenges she faced after undergoing a cesarean section. She recounted a frightening experience when she feared she might be suffering from a pulmonary embolism due to her history of blood clots. Having dealt with blood clots in her lungs since 2010, she expressed her ongoing fear of their recurrence.

Serena described how she alerted the hospital staff about her concerns but initially felt unheard. Through her persistence, a nurse eventually contacted her doctor, leading to further medical examination that revealed the presence of several blood clots. This situation necessitated multiple operations.
