Former NFL quarterback Cam Newton found himself amidst a heated altercation during a 7-on-7 youth football camp held in Georgia over the weekend.

The incident unfolded at an exclusive camp and tournament in Atlanta, where details remain scarce. Authorities from the local police department have yet to provide comments regarding the incident when reached out by USA TODAY Sports.

Video footage circulated on social media captures Newton, donning one of his distinctive hats, intervening in a scuffle involving two or potentially three individuals. Camp organizers and security personnel swiftly intervened to restore order.

Cam Newton, aged 34, concluded his NFL career with the Carolina Panthers during the 2021 season, participating in eight games. Renowned as the recipient of the 2010 Heisman Trophy while at Auburn University, Newton was selected as the first overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft.
