Scooter Braun: Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato Separate from Manager (United Latest News)
Scooter Braun: Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato
(United Latest News)-Scooter Braun, the music industry magnate known for his high-profile clash over Taylor Swift’s master recordings, has reportedly experienced the departure of two of his major clients.
As reported by Billboard, both Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato have chosen to part ways with Braun as their manager.
J Balvin, the Colombian superstar who joined forces with Braun in 2019, left in May and is now under the management of Roc Nation.

Scooter Braun: However, the rumors regarding Justin Bieber’s separation from Braun have been refuted.
His career commenced during his teenage years, organizing parties and events in Atlanta, before securing a contract with Def Jam Records.
Yet, his breakthrough occurred in 2008 when he discovered a 12-year-old Justin Bieber showcasing his talent on YouTube. Recognizing the potential for stardom, Braun located Bieber through his school and enlisted the help of board members to establish contact with Bieber’s mother. This marked the beginning of Bieber’s journey with a record label co-founded by Braun and R&B star Usher.
Bieber swiftly ascended to become a pop sensation, and Braun expertly navigated his career through numerous highs and lows, including a challenging period in 2013-14 when the singer faced a series of legal issues involving vandalism, reckless driving, and assault.
“I was not going to give up on him, I was not going to let him die,” Braun revealed in a 2016 interview with The Guardian. Eventually, he orchestrated a Comedy Central “roast” that showcased Bieber’s newfound humility, coupled with a sequence of hit singles like “Sorry” and “Love Yourself,” signifying the artist’s transformation from teen idol to adult star.
Ariana Grande joined forces with Braun in 2013 and has since released six albums, with all but one claiming the top position on the US Billboard charts. Following the tragic Manchester bombing incident that claimed the lives of 22 of her fans, Braun orchestrated the One Love benefit concert, which raised millions to aid the victims’ families.
While Grande has not released an album since 2020’s “Positions,” she is presently involved in the movie adaptation of the Broadway musical “Wicked.” The extent of her continued association with Braun beyond management remains uncertain.
Demi Lovato entered into collaboration with Braun in 2019, expressing her excitement at the time by stating, “Dreams came true for me. I officially have a NEW MANAGER. And not just any manager but the one and only Scooter Braun.” An unnamed source disclosed to Variety that their parting was amicable. In fact, Braun recently shared a birthday tribute to Lovato on his Instagram story, describing her as “one of the kindest souls out there.”
Braun is perhaps most renowned for his clash with Taylor Swift, a feud that initiated in 2019 when he acquired her former record label, Big Machine, for $300 million through his investment group, Ithaca Holdings. This move granted him control over the master recordings of Swift’s initial six albums, an action perceived by Swift as an aggressive maneuver that “stripped me of my life’s work.”
Swift’s resentment was partly fueled by Braun’s association with Kanye West, whom he managed from 2015 for two and a half years. West had a history of demeaning Swift, beginning with his interruption of her acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Awards. He followed this with a song taking credit for her fame and, subsequently, including a wax sculpture of her nude form in a music video.
Swift believed that Braun had supported and endorsed West’s behavior, and the hurt deepened when Braun posted a photo with West and Bieber on Instagram captioned “What up Taylor?”
In response, Swift denied permission for her music to be used in TV shows and films, thereby cutting off a significant income stream for Braun’s investment group. She then embarked on the journey of re-recording her earlier material, regaining ownership of her albums, and devaluing the original recordings.
Later on, Braun sold Swift’s catalog to another investment firm, Shamrock Holdings. A year subsequent, he sold Ithaca Holdings to South Korean entertainment powerhouse HYBE, the agency representing acts like BTS and NewJeans.
Braun now serves as the CEO of HYBE America and, earlier this year, contributed to the acquisition of US hip-hop label Quality Control by the company. Quality Control’s roster includes artists such as Quavo, Lil Baby, Lil Yachty, and City Girls.
