Harris County Deputy Wounded in Shooting
(United Latest News)- A patrol deputy, aged 29, was shot in an incident involving law enforcement in Harris County. The event occurred in the 13500 block of Homestead Road around 7:39 p.m. during a routine traffic stop, as stated by Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

Upon engaging in traffic duty, dispatchers received distress calls concerning an injured officer. Following the incident, the deputy was swiftly airlifted to a medical facility and is currently undergoing surgery, Sheriff Gonzalez confirmed. The deputy’s condition remains critical but stable post-surgery.
Sources confirm that the deputy sustained at least two gunshot wounds to the upper torso. His tenure with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office spans one year and three months.
Sheriff Gonzalez mentioned that the individual of interest fled the scene subsequent to the shooting. The Texas Department of Public Safety has issued a Blue Alert for a person identified as Terran Green, aged 34. Green is described as a Black male, last seen sporting a gray shirt and black shorts, with short hair and brown eyes. He is possibly operating a 2016 Ford Escape in a royal blue or darker shade, featuring black tinted windows, and bearing a Texas license plate number SVJ6590.

Terran Green possesses a history of five previous felony convictions and has served three prison sentences. One of his convictions pertains to Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, for which he received a two-year sentence; however, the complete term was not served.
Green secured his release on April 1 by posting bonds for two other charges: Aggravated Assault of a Family Member on a $50,000 bond, and felony Possession of a Weapon on a $5,000 bond. The total bond amount stood at $55,000. The Aggravated Assault of a Family Member charge originated from an incident where he brandished a firearm at his girlfriend, accompanied by threatening remarks.
Despite the District Attorney’s request for no bond, Judge DaSean Jones granted his release on the $55,000 bond. Green was expected to appear in Judge Jones’s court, but failed to do so. In May, he forfeited the bond, leading to authorities seeking his apprehension.
Governor Greg Abbott shared via Twitter that DPS Special Agents have been mobilized and extended prayers to the wounded deputy and his family.
