Tragedy struck a Fontana Home Depot as Fontana police officers were compelled to fatally shoot a man on Monday who had allegedly armed himself within the confines of the store.

The distressing event unfolded when law enforcement received distress calls around 6 p.m. alerting them to a man in the vicinity of Sierra and Santa Ana avenues who seemed to be deliberately attempting to provoke a vehicular collision, as per police reports.
Upon arrival, the individual fled into the Home Depot establishment. Inside the store, the man reportedly acquired a weapon described vaguely as an edged implement.

A confrontation ensued between the man and law enforcement officers at some juncture, resulting in the discharge of firearms by the officers. Regrettably, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries sustained by any civilians or officers during the altercation.
